Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland (HFHMM) celebrates its newest ReStore location in Rockville on Feb. 19.

The store is located at 1029 East Gude Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.

Local officials including Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton and Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz participated in a ribbon cutting to mark the occasion. The new ReStore location officially opened its doors on Feb. 15 and is 22,000 square feet. The location offers gently used furniture, appliances, tools, building supplies, antiques, and more at discounted prices.

According to a new release, the reuse of the items helps the environment by diverting materials out of local landfills. The Gaithersburg location diverted more than 300 tons of reusable from landfills last year. All of the proceeds also go to support affordable housing and donations are tax deductible.
