Transportation Forum Rebroadcast Dates (Video)
Purple Line NOW! hosted a Transportation Forum with Maryland’s gubernatorial candidates on February 18 at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus.
Candidates who declared or filed their intentions by the end of January 2014 were invited to participate in the event. Participants included: Howard County Executive Ken Ulman running mate of Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, Attorney General Doug Gansler, Charles Lollar and Delegate Heather Mizeur.
Candidates shared their positions on the current transportation situation in Maryland, their vision for the future, and what they, as governor, would do to help that vision become a reality.
Audience members included transit enthusiasts, labor groups, students, elected officials, etc. Montgomery College Vice President and Provost Dr. Brad Stewart introduced the candidates.
