Greater Lyttonsville Sector Plan Approved by Planning Board (PHOTO)
The Montgomery County Planning Board has approved a revised working draft of the Greater Lyttonsville Sector Plan at a meeting held on Thursday, December 17. The Greater Lyttonsville area will be one of future locations of the Purple Line and is located in western Silver Spring.
The working draft focuses on the issues of commercial and residential affordability, zoning classifications, district boundaries, zoning and density. A public hearing is scheduled for February 11th at the Montgomery County Department of Planning’s headquarters at 8787 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The community is invited to participate with written or emailed testimony before the public hearing. Those who wish to speak in person can sign up at the hearing.
