Governor Orders Flags to Half Staff on April 15

Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the United States Flag and Maryland State Flag flown at half-staff on Monday, April 15 from sunrise to sunset.

This is in memory of Captain Sara M. Knutson, of Eldersburg, Maryland, who died on March 11 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

This action is taken under the Protocol for the United States and Maryland State Flag. Any questions should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State.
