Good Counsel’s #7 Ranked Falcons Upset #2 Ranked Gonzaga Eagles 27-7 (PHOTOS)

Last Friday night was Senior Night at Good Counsel High School as the #7 ranked Falcons played host to #2 ranked Eagles of Gonzaga High School.

The first half saw the defenses of both teams cause interceptions and fumbles which led to the half ending with Good Counsel unable to push across the goal line in the waning seconds.  At the half Gonzaga Eagles 7 Good Counsel Falcons 0.

The second half was a complete turn around as the Falcons momentum that was building in the first half continued.  Good Counsel’s sophomore running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson #20 scored the first Falcon touchdown late in the third quarter after a long drive.  Thus began the 27 unanswered points tallied by Good Counsel.

Junior quarterback Kam Snell #7 scored twice on quarterback sneaks as well as connecting with junior wide receiver Cam Hart #1 for an 82 yard touchdown pass.  The 27-7 upset of Gonzaga on Senior Night could not have ended better for the Falcon faithful.
