Good Counsel Community Mourns Passing of Chaplain
UPDATED The Good Counsel community is mourning the sudden passing of the school’s beloved chaplain, Father Barry Gross, who served the Catholic school for 29 years.
In a note posted on the school’s website, Dr. Paul Barker, president of Our Lady of Good Counsel, described the 67-year-old priest as a, “chaplain, teacher, confidant, and a friend to generations of Good Counsel students, faculty, staff, parents and alumni.”
In an email, Principal Tom Campbell said counselors will be at the school for students who would like to speak to someone regarding Father Barry’s passing.
A viewing will be held for all members and friends of the Good Counsel community from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. on June 10, in the Kane Center.
For more information, visit the school’s website.
