Global Food Market is Open for Business in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett joined Global Food Chief Executive Officer, John Kim along with some members of the Montgomery County Council for the grand opening of Global Food Market in Silver Spring.

The supermarket is located in the Briggs Chaney Market Place.

“Our goal is to help bring great products into this community,” said Jai Kim, head of public relations, Global Food Market Silver Spring. “We also wanted to provide a place where people who have limited access to transportation, could get these type of diverse products right in the middle of their own neighborhood versus traveling far out.”

The store hours, according to Kim, are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

During the summer months, Kim said the store hours will be extended to 10 p.m.
