7th Annual Turkey Chase: The Turkey Chase is an annual fundraiser for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington. The Turkey Chase is a 10k, 2mile, Tot Trot on Thanksgiving Day that runs from the YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase and back. Proceeds from benefit our Caring for Community Fund which provides financial assistance to families in need in our community. Shepherd’s Table Thanksgiving Dinner: This organization helps people who are homeless or in need by providing basic services, including meals, social services, medical support, clothing, and other assistance in an effective and compassionate manner. On Thanksgiving day there will be a dinner for those in need from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at 8106 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

Benefit Pop-Up Art: On November 29—December 1, a group of local artists is holding an art show at our program site in Bethesda to support the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless! Start your holiday shopping or simply treat yourself, knowing that a portion of each sale will help people in need. This event will take place at 4715 Cordell Avenue in Bethesda from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
