Get Ready for 2013!
The holiday season is upon us and we have started preparing for our Winter Classes. We held the last Intro to Video Basics of 2012 on Monday. We have fifteen new students eager to start their adventure in January with MCM. (Don’t worry if you missed this one, we are having another one on January 14)
We have some exciting new workshops coming in 2013, including our Youth Summer Programs. Make sure you keep checking our Upcoming Classes page so you won’t miss out. Classes begin on January 14!
It’s hard to believe that 2012 is almost over. This is time of year when you start reflecting on the past year and make goals (at least attempt to) for the incoming year. I hope that one of the goals you have is to learn a new skill (as in Television Production or Blogging) or keep working on them at MCM. There are so many ways to get involved at MCM. Earlier this year, we launched the “Neighborhood Network”. This is a way for everyone to be involved. You can upload a picture of something interested or just let us know if you have power during a storm. You don’t have to commit to doing something every day. We want to hear from you. If you want to learn more check our Neighborhood Network. You can upload your photos from this season’s events and holiday scenes you encounter around Montgomery County. Check out the page HERE! Also, if you want to take it a step further, you can blog or even take our Citizen Journalism class (one of my favorite classes) which starts on January 15.
Keep MCM in mind for your future plans! Be a part of something exciting at Montgomery County’s Media Center.
