Germantown Shooting Under Investigation

Montgomery County police are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. Thursday in Germantown.

According to police, officers from the 5th District and Fire and Rescue responded to a home in the 12600 block of Grey Eagle Court for a report of a shooting that had just occurred. Police said first responders found a 26-year-old man who had been shot and a 21-year-old woman with an unspecified injury. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The female victim was treated by Fire and Rescue on the scene.

Police said their preliminary investigation reveals that an altercation between many individuals, including the two victims, took place in the neighborhood parking area occurred just prior to the shooting. Police do not believe the incident was random.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
