Germantown House fire Displaces Several People

Firefighters responded to a home located on the 20000 block of Neerwinder Street in Germantown around 11 pm on Monday night to find a home engulfed in flames. Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, Pete Piringer says it took about 95 firefighters to get the blaze under control. The fire had also caused minimal exterior damage to nearby homes.

Officials say there was a significant amount of structural damage to the home where the fire originated. All occupants from that home, and at least one neighbor had to be displaced as a result.

Fire officials say there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
