Germantown House Fire Displaces Family on Staten Court (PHOTOS)
An overnight house fire has displaced a Germantown family of eight, according to a Montgomery County fire official.Fire and Rescue Services Spokesperson Pete Piringer said over 50 firefighters responded to the blaze at 2:30 a.m. on June 25th in the 11400 block of Staten Court.
He said firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the roof when they first pulled up to the scene early this morning.
Piringer said the fire appears to have started near the air conditioner and extended into the house. He said a smoke alarm alerted family members. Piringer said the cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. There were no injuries.
According to Piringer, damage is estimated at approximately $50,000.
