Gaithersburg Recycling Not Impacted by Strike

Officials with Gaithersburg’s public works department recently contacted the city’s recycling contractor, Unity Disposal & Recycling, to find out if the sanitation workers strike would impact the city’s recycling service.

According to a daily briefing item emailed to the city’s elected leaders on Oct. 17, the contractor confirmed that the city of Gaithersburg’s recycling service would not be impacted by the strike.
