Gaithersburg Police Announce Arrests

Gaithersburg police have arrested four residents for assault, possession of firearms and drug-related charges.  

According to police, the arrested include 57-year-old Dana Johnson, 25-year-old Zachary Johnson, 55-year-old Regina Johnson and a 17-year-old male, all of Perrywinkle Lane  in Gaithersburg.

Here’s a police account of what happened: “On January 13, 2014, an aggravated assault was reported in the 800 block of Pointer Ridge Drive.  Known suspects and victims were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation.  On March 13, 2014, a search and seizure warrant was executed in the 200 block of Perrywinkle Lane resulting in the discovery of controlled dangerous substances, paraphernalia and firearms.”

Police said Dana Johnson was released from the Montgomery County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond and  Zachary Johnson was released from the Montgomery County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.  According to police, Regina Johnson was issued a criminal citation and released on-scene.  The juvenile was taken to the 6^th District Police Station for processing and was released to the custody of his parents, police said.
