Gaithersburg Indoor Aquatic Center to Close for Annual Maintenance

The Gaithersburg Indoor Aquatic Center is scheduled to close from Aug. 16 to Sept. 7 for its annual cleaning and maintenance.

According to a news release, the annual maintenance includes draining and refilling of the pool, gutter polishing, top to bottom cleaning, touch-up painting, and inspections of washers, dryers, HVAC, and doors.

Residents can still visit the Gaithersburg’s Outdoor Water Park, located at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm next to Gaithersburg High School.

The water park is opened daily until Aug. 30, and will also be open on Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 5 to 7. Aquatic Center members can use the water park during open hours free of charge during the maintenance period.

The center, located at 2 Teachers Way next to Gaithersburg Middle School, is expected to reopen on Sept. 8.
