Gaithersburg High School Evacuated Friday Morning
The smell of gas in the hallways of Gaithersburg High School on Friday morning resulted in the evacuation of students and staff.
That’s the word from Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) spokesperson Derek Turner.
According to Turner, students were evacuated around 7:20 a.m. and the fire department and the utility company were called to investigate the odor.
Turner said students and staff were able to reenter the building before 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
Trojans. Do not leave GHS during the evacuation. You must be in school if and when we return.
