Gaithersburg Election Set for Nov. 3, Candidates File Petitions

The BOSE will meet on Sept. 22nd to review candidacy petitions at Gaithersburg City Hall.

The Gaithersburg Board of Supervisors of Elections (BOSE) is scheduled to meet on Sept. 22nd to review and certify the petitions for candidacy in the city’s upcoming election.

According to City Attorney Lynn Board, three candidates have filed for the office of mayor and four candidates have filed for Council.

The mayoral candidates who have filed petitions for candidacy are Jud Ashman, Henry Marraffa and Darline Bell-Zuccarelli. The Council candidates who have filed petitions for candidacy are Neil Harris, Laurie-Anne Sayles, Ryan Spiegel and Robert Wu. There are three at-large Council seats up for grabs.

At the Sept. 22nd meeting, the BOSE will also review and approve campaign finance reports and discuss various election issues.

The last day to register to vote for the city’s election is Oct. 19th.
