Gaithersburg Awards 24 Neighborhoods Grant Funds

Gaithersburg officials have awarded 24 neighborhood and homeowner associations a total of $60,000 in matching grant funds from the Frederick J. Felton Neighborhood Matching Grant Program.

This popular program provides an incentive for neighborhoods to improve their communities by awarding matching grants of up to $5,000.

According to a city statement, $60,000 was budgeted for this program in Fiscal Year 2015.

The Mayor and City Council approved the following grants – ranging from $500 to $5,000 – at the Sept. 2 meeting:
