Gaithersburg Arts on the Green Brings the Arts to Young Children
Gaithersburg is now offering a new collection of programs for families with young children entitled “Just for Familes.” The program provides age appropriate performing and visual arts programs, including face painting workshops, theater productions and concerts. The programs are offered at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn and Kentlands Mansion located at 311 and 320 Kent Square Road.“Family programming at Arts on the Green is exciting and ever changing, just like our audiences!” says Shellie Williams, Arts Administrator for the city of Gaithersburg. “Our goal is to build experiences for families to enjoy the arts together,” says Williams.
Family programming includes on-going series, like Songs & Stories, a pre-school program that is held the first and third Thursday of the month. Family workshops, concerts, magic shows and theater are also featured in this initiative. See a listing by month below.
