In partnership with Thin Air Productions,  Arts on the Green presents an evening of astounding magic and sleight of hand with the exotic and amusingly interactive Comedy & Magic Society at the Arts Barn. Join magicians Mark Phillips and Brian Curry on an adventure into merry magic making with dazzling card tricks, remarkable illusions and laugh-out-loud comedy on Friday, Dec. 26 at 8 p.m. at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, 311 Kent Square Road.

“This is a unique way to spend time with your family after the hustle and bustle of the holiday,” shares Laura W. Andruski, Theatre Program Coordinator for the Arts Barn. “The show is always family-friendly, and children in particular enjoy trying to figure out how the magicians do their card tricks and magic illusions!”

Non-perishable food items will be collected for Manna Food Center during the Dec. 26 performance. Patrons donating food items will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to a future theatre performance.   “Impacting positive change and helping people emerge from cyclical poverty and hunger are best accomplished through collaborative efforts,” says Mark Foraker, Director of Development and Communications of Manna Food Center. “We thank the Arts Barn for assisting us in our campaign to end hunger in Montgomery County, Maryland.”

Tickets are $18, $12 for children 14 and under. The family-friendly shows are suitable for ages ten and up.  For information and tickets please call 301.258.6394.  Tickets can also be purchased online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/RecXpress.  For information and directions visit the city of Gaithersburg website at www.gaithersburgmd.gov or www.comedymagicsociety.com.
