Friday Montgomery COVID-19 Metrics: 112 New Cases Daily on Average
Montgomery County established a number of public health criteria with associated goals to guide the reopening of businesses and services amidst the pandemic. The information is updated daily on the County’s COVID-19 Data Dashboard. The values or metrics are grouped into three categories including the number of cases and deaths, hospital capacity to handle current and potential surge cases, and testing capacity.
Each day during the current phase of reopening, the county indicates whether a metric was met or showed improvement. Friday the metrics for acute care bed utilization rate and number of new cases did not show improvement. The county has set a goal of 70% or less acute care bed utilization rate. Thursday the three-day average is 72%. The county hopes to see a sustained decrease of new cases, Friday the three day average for new cases was 113.
