Free Fair Housing Educational Forum in Silver Spring
The Montgomery County Office of Human Rights, the Interagency Fair Housing Coordinating Group and the Department of Housing and Community Affairs are hosting “One-Stop Fair Housing Shop” on April 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Silver Spring Civic Building where housing professionals, providers, and county residents will have an opportunity to meet regulators in Montgomery County.
According to a press release, this forum will focus on fair housing requirements for people with disabilities, reasonable accommodations, use of service animals and responsibilities of common ownership communities.
Guest speakers from various county’s departments such as Office of Human Rights, Office of Consumer Protection, Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs, Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Maryland Commission on Civil Rights and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity will be at the event.
