Fourth of July Celebrations Across the County

Montgomery County will celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, parades, picnics and more this year. Here’s how to celebrate:

Gaithersburg SummerFest
Enjoy live music, food, fireworks, and activities for kids at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm in Gaithersburg, then keep the fun going with a SummerGlo After Party.
In case of rain, fireworks only will be rescheduled for Sunday, July 1.
Time: Saturday, June 30, 5:00 to 11:30 p.m.

Rockville Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate the fourth Fourth celebration at Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park in King Farm! The Nighthawks,  a local band, will kick off festivities before Mayor Bridget Donnell Newton joins the Rockville City Council, and residents to sing the national anthem is sung. There will be ample viewing space for the main event —a live fireworks display. Pack a picnic or buy food at the event.

Germantown Glory Fireworks
Hear live music and watch fireworks in South Germantown Regional Park. Food vendors and parking will be provided on-site.
In case of rain, fireworks only will be rescheduled for Thursday, July 5.

Mid-County Sparkles
Enjoy live music and fireworks at Albert Einstein High School. There will be food vendors on site.
In case of rain, fireworks only will be rescheduled for Thursday, July 5.

Independence Day Picnic & Parade
Join the Town of Chevy Chase for a morning of picnicking and parading.
Time: Wednesday, July 4, 11:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Fourth of July Bike Parade
Cycle to celebrate independence! The town of Kensington welcomes kids and “all those young at heart” to ride decorated bikes, scooters, wagons or strollers.
