Two suspects were charged on July 7, one on July 9 and the fourth suspect was charged on July 10, according to a police release. Those charged in connection with the alleged crime include: Steven Allen Graham, 42, of the 800 block of Darien Place in Upper Marlboro; Vusumuzi Mchunu, 39, of the 14700 block of 4th Street in Laurel; Anthony Allen Graham, 46, of the 1100 block of F Street in Washington, D.C.; and Nikita Kenyatta Corey, 38, of the 12000 block of Brichview Drive in Clinton.

Police say Mchunu drove to the Maryland Live! Casino at 7002 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover on June 25, because he was owed money by one of the victims and knew that that man planned to go to the casino that night. Mchunu then called Corey, and Steven and Anthony Graham to help him collect his debt. All four suspects waited until the victim left the casino, and followed him to the Marriott at 12521 Prosperity Drive in Silver Spring according to the police press release. Corey and Steven Graham also followed him into the hotel and onto the elevator. About three hours later, the alleged victim heard a knock at his door. A fifth still-unidentified suspect, Steven and Anthony Graham and Mchunu entered the room. Police said the unidentified suspect pointed a gun at the victim, threatened his life and ordered him to the floor. Mchunu then took $6,500 in cash from the victim’s car, according to the news release.

Steven Graham, armed with a handgun, demanded more cash and police say that’s when the alleged victim called his friend. Police say Corey drove that friend to the Bank of America on Columbia Pike, with Steven Graham and Mchunu in the back seat. The friend passed a note to the teller to instruct her to call police, which she did, according to police. Steven Graham became suspicious when he saw the teller on the phone and called Anthony Graham back at the hotel and told him to run, police said. After Anthony  Graham fled, the alleged victim went to a Home Depot at 2300 Broadbirch Drive and called police at about 11 a.m. June 26.

All four were charged with two counts of armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and false imprisonment. They were also charged with one count each of first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to under $10,000 and theft of $10,000 to under $100,000.

According to police, Steven Graham is being held without bond.  Anthony Graham and Corey are held in lieu of $250,000 bonds. Mchunu was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
