Four Leading Ladies at Strathmore (Video)

Andrea McArdle rocketed to stardom as Broadway’s original “Annie,” for which she was the youngest performer ever nominated for the Tony award for Best Actress in a Musical, winning both the Theatre World and Outer Critics’ Circle Awards for her performance. On Broadway she originated the roles of Ashley in Starlight Express and Margy in State Fair, and was seen as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and as Fantine in Les Miserablés. On tour she starred in Jerry’s Girls, Les Miserablés as Eponine, The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. Andrea has performed in concerts halls from Carnegie Hall to the best showrooms in Las Vegas to the MET Opera House and The White House.

Maureen McGovern’s 40 year career includes Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Traditional Pop Vocal, a Grammy for Best Musical Recording for Children, Oscar winning Gold Records The Morning After and We May Never Love Like This Again. Her 2010 PS Classics release A Long and Winding Road, was praised by The New York Times as “a captivating musical scrapbook from the 1960s to the early 70s.” Other critically-acclaimed musical tributes include her Gershwin, Arlen, Rodgers, Marilyn and Alan Bergman CDs and more. On Broadway, she created the Drama Desk Award nominated role of Marmee in Little Women, The Musical. She was also in The Pirates of Penzance, Nine, 3 Penny Opera, and the 1st National Tours of Little Women, The Musical and The King and I. Off-Broadway she composed the music, co-created and starred in The Bengal Tiger’s Ball.

Donna McKechnie, best known the world over for creating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line, is also recognized for her Broadway appearances in State Fair, On the Town, Company, Promises, Promises and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Donna salutes this remarkable era via the music of Jim Croce, Peter Allen, Marvin Hamlisch, Billy Strayhorn, and Stephen Sondheim.

Faith Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her performance as Ms. Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. In 2008, she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for A Catered Affair. Other Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid, Bells Are Ringing, Nick & Nora, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, Little Me, The Dead, and Noises Off. She also starred in the world premiere of Terrence McNally’s Unusual Acts of Devotion. Most recently, Faith starred in the national tour of the Broadway hit Billy Elliott.

Prince currently recurs on Lifetime’s hit series Drop Dead Diva as Brooke Elliott’s mother, Elaine. She was a series regular on Showtime’s Huff starring as Kelly Knippers, and recurred for five seasons on Spin City. Other television credits include A Gifted Man, Happy Endings, Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, Faith, House, Medium, Sweet Potato Queens, Monk, Now and Again, Welcome To New York and Law and Order. Film credits include Our Very Own, Picture Perfect, Dave, and My Father the Hero.
