Forest Oak Towers Opens Wait List for Senior Housing

Seniors are lining up to sign up for the wait list at Forest Oak Towers in Gaithersburg.

Ross Management Services announced the opening of the waiting list for residency at Forest Oak Towers, which provides affordable housing for income qualified seniors.

The management company scheduled application sign ups at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park on Aug. 20 and 21 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and crowd control was being coordinated to accommodate long lines.

City Spokesperson Britta Monaco said there were 70 people in line when the sign up session started on Aug. 20 at 8 a.m. and some of the people showed up as early as 5 a.m. on the first day. Monaco said more than 90 applications were completed on day one. When the sign up session started on Aug. 21 there were already 30 people in line.

Forest Oak Towers is located at 101 Odenhal Avenue in Gaithersburg.
