Floreen Explains Annexation Controversy (Video)
Gaithersburg wants to annex 28 acres of land off Shady Grove Road and near Route 355 near Montgomery County’s Solid Waste Transfer Station. There’s also a petition to change the zoning to mixed use. The city of Rockville opposes the annexation and Montgomery County Council member Nancy Floreen says the county does not want to see residential housing on the property either.
