Flash Flood Watch Issued for Montgomery County

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch until Thursday evening in Montgomery County and throughout the region. There’s a chance of slow-moving thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall.

NWS officials say heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Potential impacts include rapid rises of water and flooded roads.

Drivers are urged to be very cautious as low areas may become flooded. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officials say if you encounter a flooded road, turn around, don’t drown.
