Five Things You Need to Know Today, March 23

Here are five things you need to know today, March 23, in Montgomery County:

1. The Board of Elections (BOE) needs election judges, especially in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, North Bethesda and Cabin John, for the June 24 gubernatorial primary. You can find out more on the BOE website.

2. The Montgomery County Council is now seeking applicants for an opening on the Planning Board. The deadline to apply is April 7.

3. Getting married? The Kentlands Mansion in Gaithersburg will host the spring bridal showcase today.

4. This afternoon you can enjoy the “Dancing Through Life” concert, which features the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras Young Artists and Symphony,with Duffy Irish Dancers and the Philharmonic joined by CityDance Ensemble with a new twist on Swan Lake. The concert will include music by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and more today at 3 p.m. at Strathmore.

5. The temperatures are dropping again so get your skates on and lace them up. Today is the last day of the season for the  Silver Spring Ice Rink at Veterans Plaza. Find out more at the Ice Rink’s Facebook page.
