1. You can register to vote today from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Bethesda, Germantown and Silver Spring libraries. The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 18th.

2. You have one more week to make a donation to the Long Branch Fire Fund. So far, the fund has raised over $600,000 to assist residents impacted by the fire/explosion at the Flower Branch Apartments.

3. It’s Kids Day at the 71st annual Damascus Community Fair.

4. The Autumn Glory juried art exhibit opens today at the Kentlands Mansion and the Gaithersburg Arts Barn.

5. It’s Friday night under the lights and one of the biggest football games tonight is the battle for the King’s Trophy. This high school game features the Northwest Jaguars against the Seneca Valley Screamin’ Eagles.
