1. Ready for an Emergency: September is the start of Emergency Preparedness Month. A seminar on personal emergency preparedness runs from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Rockville Memorial Library, 21 Maryland Ave.
2. Vaccination Clinics: Montgomery County has several immunization clinics planned in advance of the start of school on Tuesday. The School Health Services Center, 4910 Macon Road, Rockville, has clinics today and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Germantown Health Center, 12900 Middlebrook Road, also has one from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. For information call 240-777-1550. Walk in clinics for students entering 7, 8, 9 and 10th grade in need of required Tdap and/or MCV vaccinations. A copy of the child’s immunization record is required.
3. Free Music: Speed of Sound, a Paul McCartney tribute band plays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rio Washingtonian, Gaithersburg. And Matt Hutchinson performs at Rockville Town Square.
4. Free Movie: School of Rock will be screened at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring starting at 8 p.m.
5. A Ride in the Park: Zagster bikes are now available at Black Hill Regional Park and Wheaton Regional Park.
