3. Area volleyball teams are hosting games for breast cancer awareness.

4. The Planning Board has approved a request for an expansion at the Good Counsel campus in Olney.

5. Gaithersburg City Councilmembers have selected Councilmember Jud Ashman to be the
next mayor of Gaithersburg, and 12 residents have applied to fill an anticipated City Council vacancy.
