1. Congratulations Katie! Bethesda’s Katie Ledecky has been named USA Swimming’s top athlete again.

2.  A scheduled protest of Bill 15-42 at the County Council Office Building has been canceled today.  County Council members are scheduled to vote on the bill tomorrow.

3. Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal meets with reporters today to discuss that bill and other issues. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for the latest from his briefing.

4. Local officials are expected to help cut the ribbon at the grand opening of Ted’s Montana Grill today at Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg.

5. Choice Hotels International is hosting a grand opening party tonight for its Cambria Hotel and Suites in downtown Rockville.
