1. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Interim Superintendent Larry Bowers will release his Recommended Fiscal Year 2017 Capital Budget and the Fiscal Year 2017–2022 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) today at Seneca Valley High School in Germantown.

2. Early voting begins in Takoma Park today.

3. Montgomery County’s annual Diwali celebration, known as the “Festival of Lights,” takes place tonight.

4. Montgomery County police officers cited dozens of drivers for distracted driving at River Road and Goldsboro Road on Tuesday.
