1. Street Beat: In Gaithersburg, State Highway Administration (SHA) crews are resurfacing Quince Orchard Road between Orchard Ridge Road and MD 355, from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. today – Thursday, weather permitting.
2. Flu Shot: Have you got your flu shot? A Montgomery County flu vaccination clinic is scheduled today at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.
3. New Judges: Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has appointed Jeannie Cho and Deb Dwyer to the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
4. Play Space: The new Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation is now open on Travilah Road. The facility is named for a former County Councilmember, and you will want to check it out. The Recreation Center features a full-sized gymnasium, auxiliary gym, rock climbing wall, exercise and weight room, social hall, commercial kitchen, multi-use community room, arts/kiln room, game room, meeting rooms and more.
5. Awards Ceremony: The County Executive’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities will be handed out tonight in Silver Spring.
