2. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has declared a state of emergency. On Friday afternoon, Hogan rescinded that order for Montgomery and seven other counties.

4. It’s an early release day for Montgomery County Public Schools students.

5. Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman has ordered the Gaithersburg Flag to half-staff today in honor of a former city employee who recently passed away.
