Five Things List-03Here are your five things to know today, Oct. 13, in Montgomery County:

1. Check it out: Montgomery County’s website has a new look.

2. The Board of Education meets today and one of the topics on the agenda is the district’s growing enrollment. There are currently more than 156,000 students enrolled. That’s about 2,500 more students than the year before.

3. The Montgomery County Council also meets today in Rockville. You can peruse the Council’s agenda, here.

4. The Montgomery County Board of Elections has announced a special meeting at 5 p.m. tomorrow to reconsider an earlier voting site location. Today, Councilmembers Roger Berliner and Tom Hucker are scheduled to hold a news conference at noon to address the Board’s earlier decision to change the locations of two early voting centers in Burtonsville and Bethesda.

5. You can meet the artists at a free reception for the Shades of Geometry exhibit at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn tonight.
