1.) Montgomery County Councilmember Nancy Navarro will be the keynote speaker at today’s  Small Business University event at Montgomery Community Media. The event starts at 7 a.m. and will be live streamed on the MyMCMedia website.

2.) Montgomery County and the City of Gaithersburg will hold its fifth annual Homeless Resource Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.

3.) The Montgomery County Planning Board will review zoning recommendations and land uses in Westbard Sector Plan at a work session today. The work session will take place at the Planning Department’s headquarters in Silver Spring.

4.) Friends of the Library will host author Mary Jo Putney at 11:30 a.m. at the Mansion at Strathmore for its Literary Luncheon.

5.)  MiMi Zannino will perform her one-woman play “Time Travel with Emily Dickinson” at Gaithersburg Arts Barn today at 1 p.m.
