1. Lawsuit Settled: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett said he is pleased that a lawsuit has been settled to recover taxpayer costs associated with the remediation and repair work at the Silver Spring Transit Center. “This is very much in the public interest,” Leggett said in a statement.
2. Save a Life: The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive in honor of fallen police officer Noah Leotta from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Public Safety Headquarters in Gaithersburg.
3. Little Big Shots: Germantown Pulse reports that one of the stars of tonight’s “Little Big Shots” episode on NBC is a third grader at Captain Daly Elementary School in Germantown, and she is quite the reporter.
4. Class of 2017: It’s graduation day for seniors at Quince Orchard and Wootton high schools today. Congratulations seniors!
5. Farmers Market: Got lunch plans? The Shady Grove Farmers Market is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montgomery County campus of Johns Hopkins University in Rockville. The Crossroads Farmers Market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the intersection of Anne Street and University Boulevard East in Takoma Park.
