1. It’s Election Day in the town of Chevy Chase. Town residents are electing three Council members, each to serve for a two-year term.

2. The Montgomery County Council meets at 1 p.m. today, and on the agenda is the Westbard Sector Plan.

3. You are invited to an open house about the MD 355 Bus Rapid Transit Corridor Planning Study tonight at Gaithersburg High School.

4.  We will find out who the MCPS teacher of the year is later today. The Champions for Children awards take place this evening at Wheaton High School.

5. Children’s author Mac Barnett and illustrator Mike Myers are talking about their new book, Rules of the House, at the Takoma Park Library tonight.
