1. A strong storm swept through Montgomery County Tuesday evening, bringing strong winds and leaving thousands without power. More storms are expected today.

2. The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is holding a public meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight to discuss development of three parks in the Clarksburg area.

3. Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring teen last seen on April 4.

4.  A workshop hosted by “Bike Maryland” at 6:30 p.m. tonight will include an interactive brainstorming session allowing the community to explore and discuss the development and implementation of a Bicycle Friendly Community Action Plan for Wheaton and Silver Spring.

5. Police have recently issued an alert for a new telephone scam involving a caller posing as a member of the Maryland State Police.
