Here are five things to know today, May 17, in Montgomery County:
1. The Gaithersburg Book Festival takes place today from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the grounds of Gaithersburg City Hall and it’s free!
2. County officials will open the digital media lab at the Long Branch Library.
3. The Washington Spirit take on Abby Wambach and the WNY Flash at 6:30 p.m. at the Soccerplex in Boyds today.
4. Homelessness is on the decline in Montgomery County.
5. A Pepco worker remains hospitalized after the worker was injured responding to a down wire and power outage in Rockville on May 16.
