Here are five things to know today, March 6, in Montgomery County:

1. County Council President Roger Berliner will meet with members of the media at 11:30 a.m. On the agenda are the state immigration policies, the county’s five-year food security plan, and an update on the status of Highway M83—a proposed route that would connect Montgomery Village and Clarksburg.

2. The county Board of Education has a closed session to discuss collective bargaining.

3. On the agenda for the Rockville Mayor and Council meeting is a decision on body cameras for city police. The Mayor and Council also plan a public hearing on the police role in enforcing federal immigration laws.

4. Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meets as well. The agenda includes an update on the city’s legislative priorities in Annapolis.
