1. A seven-year-old girl from Silver Spring was honored by the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Department with the “Everyday Hero” medal after she called 911 and saved her father’s life.

2.  The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection is scheduled to hold a tree protector removal event in East County today.

3. Gaithersburg Library is scheduled to show “The Peanuts Movie” today at noon.

4.  Montgomery College is scheduled to host Argentine “Disappeared” poet Alicia Partnoy along with her mother and daughter. Partnoy will read and discuss her works.

5.  Pianist and psychiatrist Richard Hogan will be performing the works of George Gershwin at The Mansion at Strathmore tonight at 7:30 p.m.
