1. Montgomery County firefighters are investigating a fatal Gaithersburg townhouse fire.
2. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and County Council President Nancy Floreen are helping launch the Design for Life website today in Rockville.
3. Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman and the City Council are hosting a Council in the Communities meeting tonight at Diamond Elementary School.
4. Author Clare Lise Kelly is scheduled to discuss her book “Montgomery Modern: Modern Architecture,” at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Kensington tonight at 7:00 p.m.
5. The Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club will feature the latin/jazz influenced sounds of Sunflare & The Craig Alston Syndicate tonight a 8 p.m.
One more thing: A local television station will be filming at Veteran’s Plaza in Silver Spring today. Earlier, Silver Spring Town Center newsletter reported that “Good Morning America” would be filming, it has since been corrected.
