1. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Montgomery County from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. today.

2. The Montgomery County Council meets today and historic preservation, the CIP and WSSC are some of the topics on the agenda. The Council is also expected to issue an official proclamation designating April 22 a, “Day in the Life of Montgomery County.” The DITL event is organized by Montgomery Community Media.

3.  The Board of Education has voted to name a new Clarksburg elementary school, which opens in August, after F. Wilson Wims.

4. The Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking event, Schmooza Palooza, tonight at The Fillmore.

5. Students at Watkins Mill High School will be tested for TB today.
