2. Pedal power: Local officials are scheduled to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Capital Bikeshare Station near the Wheaton Metro this morning.

3. Commuters take note: Metro officials are touting the completion of the Bethesda escalator replacement program this afternoon.

4. Montgomery County Council member Craig Rice, Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Jack Smith and Montgomery College President DeRionne Pollard are holding an education forum at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda tonight.
