1. New Ride: WMATA’s 7000-series railcars enter passenger service today at the Shady Grove Metro on the Redline.

2. Class of 2015: It’s graduation day for seniors at John F. Kennedy and Wheaton high schools.

3. President’s Briefing: Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal will meet with reporters today at 11:30 a.m. to discuss some of the key issues facing the Council. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for live updates from the briefing.

4. Silver Spring Library: The new Silver Spring Library opens on June 20th and contractors and library staffers are busy from now until then prepping the building for the big day.

5. Go Green: You are invited to learn about the benefits of “Recycling, Composting and Rainscaping” at a program to be held at the Aspen Hill Library this evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 4407 Aspen Hill Road.
