1. The second round of professional play takes place at Congressional Country Club today for the Quicken Loans National golf tournament.

2. A Parkland Middle School student’s science experiment has been selected to be tested on the International Space Station this summer.

3. School buses from the Shady Grove Bus Depot will not be moved to the Carver Educational Services Center parking lot and Westmore Avenue sites, according to Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett. Leggett sent a memo to Montgomery County Council President Nancy Floreen stating that he is withdrawing his Declaration of No Further Need request.

4. The 19th annual Heritage Days kicks off this weekend. More than 30 museums, parks, and historic sites will be open with free admission, noon to 4 p.m. this weekend.
