Here are five things to know today, June 19, in Montgomery County:

1. Red Line News: The Shady Grove and Rockville Metro stations are closed this week for SafeTrack work. Find out more, here.

2. Police Blotter: Montgomery County police have arrested three men for the June 5th murders of 17-year-old Shadi Najjar and 18-year-old Artem Ziberov. The three suspects are expected to make their first appearance on these charges in court today.

3. Public Hearing: Gaithersburg leaders are holding a public hearing tonight at City Hall about a proposal to allow bicycles on sidewalks.

4. Fostering Community Trust: Rockville leaders will consider adopting an ordinance that would amend and add a section to Chapter 11 of the City’s “Human Rights “code. The ordinance restricts all City of Rockville employees – including police officers – from requesting citizenship or immigration status of any person unless required by law. Find out more, here.

5. Fawn Project: If you find a fawn on your property, Montgomery Parks wildlife ecologists want to hear from you. They are tagging fawns across the county in hopes of learning more about the local deer population.
